With more than a decade of experience in higher education, leadership, organizational operations, and professional development, Ciara has spent much of her career helping people navigate change, develop their strengths, strengthen teams, and move toward what comes next. Her experience as a leader, educator, coach, and consultant has shaped a practical approach to growth, one that recognizes that meaningful change requires more than good ideas. It requires people, strategy, intentionality, and follow-through.
Through The Genesis Collaborative, Ciara brings those experiences together to support individuals, leaders, and organizations through coaching, consulting, training, and professional development. Whether working with someone navigating a personal transition, a leader developing their team, or an organization looking to strengthen its strategy and operations, her goal is to meet people where they are and help create a practical path forward.
Her work is grounded in growth, integrity, purpose, and people-centered development, with biblical principles serving as an important foundation for how she leads and serves. Ciara believes growth is not simply about doing more or becoming someone else. It is about becoming more whole, making intentional decisions, developing the people around you, and building something that can create lasting impact.

🌿 Where Purpose, People, and Principles Meet🌿
The Genesis Collaborative grew from a personal understanding that has continued to shape Ciara’s work: people need places where they can grow, develop, ask honest questions, and receive the support they need to move forward.
Throughout her career, Ciara found herself consistently pouring into others through leadership, education, mentoring, training, and service. She developed people, supported teams, navigated organizational challenges, and helped others prepare for what came next. Yet, through her own experiences, she also learned that having knowledge and experience does not mean you always have the support, space, or guidance you need for yourself.
Those experiences became part of the foundation for The Genesis Collaborative.
Rather than creating a business around one service or one area of expertise, Ciara envisioned a collaborative that could meet people and organizations in different seasons of growth. A place where personal development and professional development could coexist; where leadership could be strengthened without losing sight of the person behind the role; and where organizations could grow without losing sight of the people who make them work.
That vision became the foundation for Discipled By Design and Destined Leadership Consulting.
Through DBD, Ciara creates space for individuals to reflect, grow, work through patterns and transitions, strengthen their sense of self, and move forward with greater clarity and purpose. Through DLC, she works with leaders and organizations to develop people, strengthen leadership, improve organizational practices, and build strategies that support sustainable growth.
Both are different expressions of the same belief:
When people are developed, leaders are strengthened. When leaders are strengthened, organizations have greater capacity to grow.
