I found myself in a Job‑like season recently, everything that mattered to me was shaken. My children, my home, my finances, my health, even my car were impacted. And the hardest part? Nothing was in my control. I couldn’t fix it. I couldn’t strategize my way out of it. All I could do was surrender…and trust God.
That moment wasn’t the end – it was the beginning. It was the start of what I now call my Trust Walk season.
What is the Trust Walk?
The Trust Walk is the sacred space between pain and promise, pruning and purpose, loss and gain. It’s the moment when our foundation is shaken so we can be rebuilt stronger than ever.
During this season, I learned what it truly meant to “walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). Reliance on my own strength was no longer sufficient. I found myself leaning deeply into God’s, more than I ever thought possible.
What I Discovered Along the Path
- A deeper reverence: Pain humbled me, drawing me closer to God in a way that success never could.
- New resilience: Through tears and uncertainty, I found endurance I didn’t know I had.
- Rooted confidence: No longer grounded in resources or roles, my identity was now firmly planted in who God is.
I didn’t just survive this season – I emerged transformed – stronger, wiser, and more purpose-driven. When God’s next level began unfolding, I didn’t resist. I surrendered. I trusted that He wastes nothing, every tear, every struggle, every delay was preparing me to walk new ground.
Encouragement for Those on the Journey
If you’re in a Trust Walk season right now, don’t rush it. Allow it to do what it’s meant to:
- To tear down false supports so they can be rebuilt with God as the cornerstone.
- To cultivate trust, teaching you to lean into divine strength and divine timing.
- To prepare you for your next level, forging faith that can lead others (and yourself) through uncertainty.
Remember Romans 8:28:
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
Yes, you may be under pressure, but purpose is being produced.
Let Your Trust Walk Change You
- Trust the process. Growth doesn’t happen in a day, but in faithful steps.
- Let God rewrite your story. What feels like loss may be setup for a legacy.
- Know your pain will become purpose. Your journey matters, and your story will encourage others.
So, my dear friends, leaders, entrepreneurs, those stalled at a crossroads, keep walking. Keep trusting. In God’s hands, your Trust Walk is not a detour, it’s the pathway to your next level.
If this resonates, share your own Trust Walk below, and let’s encourage each other in faith.
